Coral Charm, the bloom du jour

Tory Burch's hostess gift of choice this season are gorgeous blooms from New Zealand called Coral Cham peonies {according to WSJ}. These beauties are in season as it is going into summer down under. While we may not be hosting Ms. Burch over the holidays, what better way to wake up on a Monday morning than admiring some for ourselves?

Thanksgiving Project Week 15

I reminisce about New Zealand a lot- I will always remember fondly the time we lived there. I know I've mentioned it before, this week I was feeling particularly thankful for the time I was able to spend there.

New Zealand has been at the forefront of my mind recently for a number of reasons. Our Kiwi friend was visiting the this week! It was refreshing to reconnect, it was SO fun to hear a NZ accent again and it made me feel more committed than ever to returning to New Zealand.

Unfortunately, New Zealand has also been at the top of my mind due to the tragedy in Christchurch. The death toll is creeping up and what is left behind has been deemed a national state of emergency.

I feel compelled to mention it here because my heart goes out to all those touched by the earthquake-- to all my friends and readers in New Zealand, I'm sending you love.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our time there; I think you'll agree it's a very special place.
If you're interested in donating; one of my favorite finds has been this site which allows you to download New Zealand music for free with a donation.

Happy Friday: NZ Dreaming

More often than not, if I wake up in a good mood and feeling refreshed, I spent my slumber dreaming of New Zealand. A place where part of me calls home, (can I claim that after 20 months?) I miss the endless beaches and the Kiwi mentality.
And since it has been in the news more than usual, recently, I thought I would end the week with some images from my favorite NZ photographer, Kieran Scott, that capture the brilliance of the country.

Time to Party, join in!

Thanks to the wonders of blogger, I was able to write this post in advance. My hope is that when this goes live, I will resemble the image above- giddy with delight, mimosa in hand, gabbing with my nearest and dearest and getting my hair done for the big event!
A heartfelt thank you to readers of Pink to Green for your warmhearted comments on all of my wedding posts; I am so happy that I could share the details with you. Although you are not official guests, I wanted you to make sure you got a piece of the action. Please enjoy the following compilation of tunes that we will be giving out as a favor. This iMix is a collection of our favorite New Zealand music that we hope will bring a smile to your face as it does ours!!

Favorite NZ Photography

When I am missing New Zealand, I like to visit Kieran Scott's website and soak in his breathtaking images. He is by far my favorite New Zealand photographer and it isn't hard to see why.
He has been published in notable magazines from the US to Australia, but it is his images of New Zealand life that capture my heart.
These images transport me back to the land of the long white cloud; I can almost smell the ocean.

New Zealand Wedding

Married last February, Matty and Leah chose a friends house near Pakiri beach on New Zealand’s north island for their celebration. Their wedding photos, by Tessa Crisp, are absolutely stunning.
This wedding captures so much of what I miss about New Zealand and my friends there; the counties unending beauty is perfectly complimented by simple celebrations that let laughter and love shine through.

Big thanks go to my beautiful friend, Bree, for sharing her sister’s wedding pictures with us!
