Changes

Can we have a heart-to-heart?  I’ve been trying to write this post for a while now. I’ve been mulling over the direction I hope to take Pink to Green and have had the hardest time figuring out how to blog about it.

So I’m just going to be honest.

There is so much change coming up in my life. We’re less than two weeks away from becoming a family of four!  And a few months after that we have accepted an opportunity to move to Seattle, WA.  It will be a new adventure for us in so many ways.

For someone who likes to plan, these changes are testing my every limit. I’m both terrified and excited for all that is to unfold.  And while I may not know what to expect from the year ahead, I do know that I’d like to have this blog come along with me.

Six months ago, I promised myself that I would start blogging again every week and see where it took me.  After James Robert was born, I stepped away from writing and creating for a long time only wonder why it had taken me so long to return once I did.  I love being a Mother.  I love writing about motherhood. But I also love that this blog allows me to feel like I still have a piece of “me” outside of being Mom.  Perhaps you can relate?

Beauty is a life well lived, or so the saying goes.  Those words have been rolling around in my head these past few weeks as I think about trying to embrace this next chapter of my life.

When I think of a life well lived, I think of the beauty that peaks out from the everyday moments as well as life’s biggest events.  Finding and appreciating that beauty could be in a moment of motherhood, a wonderful meal or an outfit that makes you feel great. And as a mother, I’ve come to realize that I have such a special role in orchestrating and celebrating that beauty for my family but that I also owe it to myself. That’s the lens through which I’m going to focus going forward- both personally and here on the blog.

Currently, I aim to post 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. My goal is to continue to do so, but perhaps in different doses and not necessarily on set days. Some posts may be short and sweet like the old days.

In addition to the topics I post on currently (motherhood, recipes, wellness, travel) I’m going to encompass lifestyle topics that share my everyday inspirations: accessible timeless style for mamas and kids, easy entertaining ideas and decor.

I’m excited to also bring you content that is in partnership with businesses and brands that I find inspiring. I will be sure to provide transparency about collaborations and want to assure you that anything I endorse here on the blog is done so genuinely.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to pick up where I left off here a few years ago.  I so appreciate every comment and every person that stops by! Xx

I will always be a fan of the blog in whatever form it takes! You have a lot coming up and while I'm glad to hear you will continue blogging, I won't mind if it drops off for a few months while you get your footing! You are a strong and courageous mom and lady and can handle anything. I love following you on your journeys and wish you a healthy birth, safe travels and humor through it all. Xo

Yay so glad you're going to continue blogging! I got worried there that this was a breakup post ;). Stay strong Mama, you've got some of best, most exciting life changes coming up, but I know how hard it is to move with a brand new baby and it sure isn't easy. Can't wait to follow along, but don't ever give yourself a hard time about taking a break, we all sure understand and will be here when you get back.

It's definitely hard to find motivation to blog sometimes, especially when you're busy with a baby! I have found this to be a good creative outlet for me, and I can imagine that especially as you move and add to your family, you will like documenting things :)
