Summer Reading

Pardon the interuption to my regularly scheduled blogging, last night, I was engrossed in my summer reading. I can't remember the last time I was so fully absorbed with the charecters in a book, and I'm not ashamed to say that I had tears in my eyes at the end. Any recommendations for what to read next?

I loved this book. I felt like I knew all of the characters by the end of it. For a first time author, I thought she did an amazing job!

Oh! I miss the characters so much now that I'm done reading it. You may be interested in this post I did last month on it & the upcoming movie:http://tinyurl.com/29lrawd

This book was amazing. I also just read Little Bee, and How Did You Get This Number? -- both were also awesome summer reads!

Oooo! I want to read this one, too! I just blogged about a couple of books as well. I recommend Lottery by Patricia Wood.

Oh, and Kate! Good call! I want to read that one. Sloan Crosley's first book (I Was Told There'd Be Cake) is hysterical, and I'm sure that this second effort is no different. (Also, anything by David Sedaris is tops.)

LOVED this book. I highly recommend the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, which I just finished. It's such an engrossing thriller. Can't wait to read the next in the trilogy.

Oh! And anything by Ann Patchett. Run, Bel Canto, and The Magician's Assistant are all fantastic. I'm about to start on her book The Patron Saint of Liars.
