Teriyaki Salmon

Before I share today's recipe, I wanted to kick off the week with my favorite picture from our weekend- this pair of furry buddies make me smile.
Somehow, it ended up being the only image that proves we had visitors for the weekend. I'm so grateful that my in law's came to Charlotte; we had a great time!

Also, have you all been gulping coconut water? If not, I wanted to recommend Zico from TJ's.  It's a great on-the-go version that is my apres hot yoga drink of choice.  It's natures answer to Gatorade and so delicious. If you're interested in more info, this article answered a lot of my questions re Zico

So on to one of my new favorite recipes-Teriyaki Salmon on the grill.
Recipe for Teriyaki Salmon:
{adapted from Dr. Weil}

Ingredients
1 cup of sake
1/2 cup of low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of dark brown sugar
12 oz salmon

Directions
1. Mix all ingredients {reserve 1/4 up marinade for end of cooking}
2. Pour over salmon and let marinade for 1-4 hours
3. Grill salmon and at the end pour extra on

And since no weekend is complete without dessert, this is what finished off the meal.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend also!
