Healthy Habits: Apple Cider Vinegar

The verdict is out on how long it takes to form a habit; psych 101 used to preach 21 days, but newer research espouses 66.  Now that we're well into the 2nd month of the New Year, I'm pausing to revaluate where I am with some of the new healthy habits that I'm trying to form.  Will you join me?
I'm simultaneously surprised and delighted that drinking Apple Cider Vinegar {ACV} has become part of my daily routine.  I'll be the first to admit my pessimism- on January 1, after my first drink, I was not thrilled. However, as weeks have rolled by, its become easier to drink as I started noticing results.  Therefore, I wanted to share with you.

Here are some of the benefits.

I've been drinking 1-2 tablespoons of Bragg's ACV per day, as directed.  My best advice is to drink 1 tablespoon in room temperature water with some honey, 2 times a day.  Or, I've been adding 2 tablespoons to tea every afternoon.

What have I noticed:
I feel immediate relief of upset stomach, it aids digestion and I have noticed a difference in my complexion.

Verdict:
There are articles and research that claim and dispute different things. However, based on my initial positive reaction, I'm going to stick with this for a few more months.  I have also talked to a health coach and she highly recommended this daily ritual. Has anyone else had positive results from drinking ACV?

I remember hearing about this years ago from a teacher. I eat it all the time on my salads. Do you think that counts? Secretly, I love the taste of it. ;)

I've been drinking 2 tablespoons every night for a few months and definitely noticed a difference in my complexion after just a couple weeks.
I've gotten used to the taste - can't say I love it but it doesn't bother me anymore.

I tried this awhile back, but kept forgetting to add it to my water, think i will try it again! Also saw a great article about using it with water as a toner!

It definitely get's easier to drink and is SO encouraging when you see and feel the results! Sara, I've heard great things about making a toner with it, I'll have to look into the "recipe"

I bought a bottle today and just had my first glass. It wasn't bad at all and I did not add any sweetener. I am hoping to help my tummy troubles. I am curious though - what do you mean you noticed a difference in your complexion? How has it improved?

Kate, I'm excited that you're trying ACV and hope it helps your stomach... I've found that it really helps mine. As for my completion, I have noticed that my pores have shrunk in size and that overall the color has become more even... one of my friends that drinks it everyday has become "glowing". Perhaps it is the placebo effect, but there is an intangible improvement. Let me know how it goes!!
