Headed South

Long before reading "the book" as they call it, I've been fascinated with Savannah. Lovely enough to dissuade Sherman, Lincoln's most memorable Christmas present is calling my name. I'm tagging along with my husband as he heads to Savannah for a business trip today/tomorrow and then we're headed down to Florida for our friends wedding!
Months ago, I was captivated by the Savannah home of Liz Demos featured on Design*Sponge. Her home is a study in creatively mixing the old and the new. Vintage industrial cabinets mixed with Swedish painted furniture testify to Liz's eye for design.Turns out that Liz is the proprietor of a charming shop called @Home; I can't wait to check out their one-of-a-kind vintage finds.
Other stops on my shopping list include The Paris Market and The Savannah Bee Company. If you have other suggestions, please be in touch, I'd love to hear from you! While I'm away, feel free to follow me on twitter for updates!

I ADORE this aesthetic. It's so clean and fresh but still really homey and comfortable. I've also always had a fantasy about Savannah! I don't know what it is! Wrap-around porches and lemonade or something.

oh you'll love that place. my husband has a conference in savannah each year and i always tag along to shop. there is a great little junky store around the corner from @home...can't remember the name but i think it's on montgomery street. anyway, ask them about it and they'll point you in the right direction.

also, make sure to stop at 'shop scad'. it is where all the savannah college of art & design students sell their art/etc. very neat place.

have fun. and stop at mary francis potter's cupcake emporium as well. it's right off of broughton street. just ask someone.
