Painting Part I: Eco Paint

Since moving into our new home, one of the few projects we have tackled has been to paint a few rooms {thanks again, Dad!}

I did a lot of research surrounding not only the colors {a palate of gray's} but also the type of paint. There are a variety of reasons that using non-VOC or low-VOC paint is important to me... health, allergies and environmental responsibility. But I had no idea where to start? What brand would perform the best? Is it worth paying top-dollar for some of the boutique choices?
This article and a few message boards later, we ended up using all Olympic Brand Paint, available at Lowe's, and couldn't be happier with the results. It is the only line of zero-VOC paint available in national home improvement stores and has a low price-point {approx. $20 per gallon}.
I would highly recommend this product as an easy way to go green in your home. I promise to snap some after shots soon and show the colors!
